The Edmonton People in Need Shelter Society (EPINSS) is a community-based, not-for-profit charitable organization whose mission is to improve the well-being and enhance the quality of life of those individuals in the community suffering from severe and persistent chronic mental illness.
To assist people to live as independently as possible, the Society offers a full range of support services.
The Edmonton People in Need Shelter Society offers programs and services in the belief that individuals with mental illness can maintain themselves in the community if given the appropriate support.
To improve well-being and enhance the quality of life for individuals suffering severe chronic mental illness in our communities by providing them with the appropriate and affordable food and shelter and the necessary programs and support services
Edmonton People in Need Shelter Society acknowledges that we operate on Treaty 6 and Metis Nation North Saskatchewan River Territory, a traditional gathering place for many First Nations. We respect the histories, languages, and cultures of these peoples who enrich our community. We continue to explore our relationship to the land and reflect on what it means to be Treaty people.
